Pricing questions we hear often
What counts as a request?
A single HTTP call to any Coastal Practice endpoint counts as one request, regardless of payload size up to the documented per-call limit. Webhook delivery attempts to your downstream endpoints do not count against your quota — only the originating ingest or API call does. Streaming WebSocket connections consume one request per message received from the server.
Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?
Yes — plan changes take effect immediately. If you upgrade, your quota resets to the new level and we pro-rate the billing difference for the remainder of the calendar month. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle so you don't lose capacity you've already paid for.
Is VAT included in the listed prices?
No — prices listed are exclusive of VAT. Irish customers will see VAT at the standard rate of 23% applied at checkout. EU business customers can provide their VAT registration number to apply the reverse-charge mechanism. Non-EU customers are not subject to Irish VAT.
Do you offer annual billing discounts?
Enterprise customers who commit to an annual contract receive a 15% discount on the monthly equivalent rate. Annual billing is available on the Pro plan on request — contact us and we'll apply the same discount. Sandbox is always free regardless of billing cadence.
